This is a reminder that starting tomorrow Arkadelphia Public Schools will provide free meals to children 0 to 18 years old, regardless of income, on each of our four school campuses (Perritt, Peake, Goza, and AHS). These meals have to be eaten at the school.
Breakfast will be served 8:00 am - 8:30 am and lunch will be served 11:30 am – 12:00 pm; June 3 - June 27 (Monday through Thursday)

Arkadelphia Public Schools will be offering two options for Children Ages 0 to 18 years old to receive FREE meals this summer regardless of family income. Children can eat breakfast (8:00am-8:30am) and/or lunch (11:30am-12:00pm) Monday through Thursday in the cafeteria at any of our four campuses June 3 - June 27. Families also have the option to sign up for FREE Bulk Food Boxes that will be distributed on Friday afternoons June 7 - July 26. One week from today is the Great North American Solar Eclipse! This is a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, April 8th. Campuses will be closed to visitors. Students are being provided eclipse glasses by the school. We hope families take the opportunity to view this event together.

Beginning Monday, February 12 through the end of the school year, Arkadelphia Public Schools will dismiss 14 minutes later than the current schedule to make up the 5 snow days missed in January.
New dismissal times for each campus are as follows:
Perritt Primary School will dismiss at 3:09 p.m.
Peake Elementary School will dismiss at 3:09 p.m.
Goza Middle School will dismiss at 3:19 p.m.
Arkadelphia High School will dismiss at 3:19 p.m.
There is NO change to the start time at any school campus. With the later dismissals, the bus routes will be 14 minutes later in the afternoon than normal.
Thursday, May 23 will be the last day of school. Any future days missed will be added to the end of the calendar, beginning May 24th.

At this time, we plan on running all bus routes tomorrow. If road conditions change overnight, and a bus driver encounters water over the road along their route in the morning, they will not go through it. Safety is our top priority and we appreciate your understanding. Looking forward to a sunny Friday!
Arkadelphia Public Schools will be open tomorrow, January 25, 2024; however, we do still have some flooded areas that are not safe for our buses. Our buses will not drive through high water.
With Hwy 7 east of Arkadelphia closed again this evening, Mr. Hughes (Route 14), will not be able to provide transportation to and from school tomorrow, Thursday, January 25, 2024. There may be some areas on other routes that are also impacted.
If you cannot safely get your child to and from school, please call the school office or send a note when your child returns and they will be allowed to make up all missed work without a penalty. Safety is our top priority and we appreciate your understanding.

Out of an abundance of caution, with precipitation and temps hovering around freezing for the next few hours, Arkadelphia Public Schools will be closed today. We do not want to put our staff and students on the road with the potential of worsening conditions.
