
A team from Perritt Primary School was recognized for Badger Pride at the January School Board meeting. This group was nominated by Principal Kimberly Ellison. Their hard work and dedication have led to the success of the students at Perritt that they work with daily. The team is made up of paraprofessionals, teachers, counselors, and occupational therapists. Wednesday is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 16th from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
There will be no school for students on Thursday (16th-PTC), Friday (17th-Teacher Flex Day), and Monday (20th-President's Day).





Congratulations to Donovan Whitten and the 2023 King of Hearts Court presented at today's Basketball Homecoming Ceremony and Pep Rally for tonight's game at home against Ashdown. Lady Badgers begin at 5:30 p.m. 2023 Senior Recognitions will take place between the girls' and the boys' game.

Before the end of National School Counseling Week, we want to recognize Marvetta Farnam who works in our counseling office at AHS. Mrs. Farnam is a dedicated worker who has an open door that welcomes staff, students, and their families. Thank you Marvetta for all you do at AHS!


We are so proud of our Peake and Goza students who represented our school district in the Clark County Spelling Bee today. Congratulations to Goza Middle School student Alaina Metcalf (8th Grade) who earned first place and will compete at the state competition on March 11th. Also, congratulations to Spencer Seel (8th Grade) placing second and David Garrett (7th Grade) placing third.

The Arkadelphia Senior Football players were recognized with Badger Pride Awards at last month’s APSD School Board meeting. The 2022 Badgers went undefeated in the 7-4A Conference and reached the 4A State Semifinals. The seniors were honored for their contributions as they led the team to a great season. Seniors Allen Buckley and Broc Currey along with Coach Trey Schucker accepted the awards. Some players were unable to attend due to other athletic events scheduled. We are proud of Badger Football!

It got REAL at AHS for juniors and seniors! The AHS Family and Community Engagement (FACE) group partnered with Patterson Federal Credit Union to provide students the opportunity to work on a budget based on their anticipated post-graduate earnings at today's Reality Fair. We appreciate all the members of our community who came to work with our students!

The Arkadelphia High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the 2023 District IV Spring Conference on February 7, 2023. Sixty members attended and participated in competitive events. During the Awards of Excellence program the chapter was awarded second place in Largest Chapter Membership. Chapter President Blaise Batson was named Who’s Who in FBLA for District IV. Senior FBLA Adviser Ashley Wesley was named Outstanding Local Adviser of the Year for District IV. Students that placed at the conference are eligible to compete at the State Leadership Conference in Little Rock which will be held on April 3 and 4.

Nicole McGough from Patterson Federal Credit Union spent time recently speaking to students at Peake Elementary School about different aspects of personal finance. They learned such topics as the history of currency, spending, saving, and then had a competitive game of review on Blooket. A great experience for students. Thank you Nicole!

Congratulations to the Goza Middle School Quiz Bowl team for winning the Junior High Regional Tournament today in Nashville! The AHS Ninth Grade team earned second place in regional. Timothy LeVar was the Most Value Player of the tournament.
