So proud of our Arkadelphia Public School District Choirs!

Arkadelphia Students and Parents! We want to invite everyone to participate on Friday, December 15th in National Ugly Sweater Day. We are having a district-wide campus challenge for wearing your most festive, unique, and perhaps not-so-cute holiday sweaters (though students always look cute)! Each campus will be making a post of pictures with participating students and staff on their Facebook page by 8:30 a.m. and need you to like and share their post to support your school! The contest ends at noon. Let’s have some holiday fun!

AHS FBLA made a trip to Arkansas Children’s Hospital to deliver 160 toys that were received during their recent toy drive. Next, Advisers Ashley Wesley and Kristin Cloninger sent members on an Angel Tree Shopping Challenge. Using profits from their recent fundraiser, students purchased Christmas gifts for four local children through the Angel Tree. Thank you to everyone who supported and donated to make this possible. Computer Science Education does not begin in high school. At the middle school level, students must complete a four-week coding experience in Arkansas. At Goza Middle School, 8th-grade students are coding in Jequetta Berry’s Career Development course. They are using Codester to create coding projects. Coding is embedded for 7th Graders this year during LaKesha Berry’s Keyboarding class and 6th Graders have Coding with Lori Hanlon as one of their Related Arts rotations.
