​​Arkadelphia High School Class of 2024 Graduate Catherine Turner was recently honored by Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders for her outstanding academic achievement. The Governor annually invites the best and brightest seniors from across the state to the Governor’s Mansion for Scholastic Honors Day to congratulate them on their high academic performance. Cate is the daughter of Dan and Cindy Turner. We are so proud of you, Cate! #BadgerPride

In the May Arkadelphia School Board meeting, members of the AHS FBLA Chapter were presented a Badger Pride Award for their outstanding performance at the 2024 Arkansas FBLA State Leadership Conference (SLC). AHS Adviser Ashley Wesley was also recognized for being named the 2024 Arkansas Outstanding Local Adviser of the Year during the SLC. The students that were recognized qualified to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference; twelve of the students will represent AHS, our District, and Arkansas at the NLC in Orlando this summer. During the School Board meeting, the AHS competition team in the Local Chapter Annual Business Report presented their project to the Board and those in attendance. This week members of the Arkadelphia Public School District Technology Department Joey Andrews, Jim Minchew, James Kladis, Clair Mays, and Goza Middle School Teacher Jequetta Berry attended the Hot Springs Technology Institute. The HSTI Conference included breakout and general sessions on the latest educational technology developments. The Opening Session featured Keynote Speaker Michael Bonner from the famed Ron Clark Academy. #BadgerPride

APSD will present their CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act) Report at the board meeting on Tuesday June 18, 2024 at 6pm in the upstaris conference room of Dawson Building #4. The public is invited to attend.

At the end of this month, members from the Arkadelphia High School and Goza Middle School chapters of FBLA will be competing at the FBLA National Leadership Conference! We'd like to take the time to introduce the competitors before they head off to Orlando, FL to represent Arkadelphia and the entire state of Arkansas. We are super grateful for our Food Service Director Joanna Spradlin, Chartwells Manager Brittany Green, and her team and the work they did preparing the first Friday supply of Free Summer Bulk Meals for children. Families can still sign up for this coming Friday at the link below. We do want to stress that if you sign up, please make every effort to pick up your boxes so that your name can remain on the list for the rest of the summer. The Arkadelphia Public School District offices and buildings will observe summer hours until August 5th. This means office hours are extended on Monday-Thursday. All offices are closed on Friday. Offices will also be closed on July 4th for Independence Day. #BadgerPride

AHS Virtual Arkansas Student Jaci Jones was recognized at the May Arkadelphia School Board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. Jaci is a student in Ashley White’s Digital Photography 2 course and competed at the Arkansas SkillsUSA Skills and Leadership Conference this spring. Jaci won the Gold Medal in the Photography Event. She now has the opportunity to compete at the National SkillsUSA Conference this month in Atlanta. Congratulations Jaci and good luck at Nationals! #BadgerPride

AHS Senior Terence McClellan was recognized in May with a Badger Pride Award. Terence competed at the Arkansas Skills USA State Skill and Leadership Conference in April. He was also on the ASU Three Rivers Quiz Bowl team for Welding and received a bronze medal with his Quiz Bowl team. Congratulations! #BadgerPride

Peake 4th Grade Quiz Bowl Students were recognized in the May Board meeting for placing 2nd in the Dawson Education Service Cooperative Tournament. They are coached by GT Teacher Brandi Cotton. This is a reminder that starting tomorrow Arkadelphia Public Schools will provide free meals to children 0 to 18 years old, regardless of income, on each of our four school campuses (Perritt, Peake, Goza, and AHS). These meals have to be eaten at the school.
