Dr. Patricia Wright spoke on behalf of the Peake High School Alumni Foundation during the May 20, 2024, Arkadelphia Public School District Board of Education meeting. Dr. Wright read to the Board and those in attendance a concurrent resolution that was passed by the Arkansas General Assembly in April 2024. HCR1001 recognizes Ralph Wilcox of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program and the Division of Arkansas Heritage for their efforts to preserve the remaining structures and history of the Rosenwald Schools in Arkansas. Peake High School in Arkadelphia is one of eleven Rosenwald Schools in Arkansas that are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
